Purple Mongoose, Evil Twin and NickyB took our annual Spring Zing.
This time out to Somerset, up to Punxysutawney, and back.

Anybody who gets out that way needs to be sure to stop at the La Jose Hotel in La Jose, PA which is a little shitsplat town about halfway between Altoona and Punxy. It is exactly the kind of grungy dive that makes hipsters feel really edgey , but feels like home to me. Make sure you order a Straubs beer.
Is that the place we hit to take a break from the rain heading back to Punxy from Toon Town when we went out to DelGrosso Park? I liked that place. And, yes the Straub was fresh.
The very place! The address is 103 Cecil Hurd Highway La Jose PA for anybody wanting to use Waze or similar to get there, but as you’ll recall it is actually right on rt. 36.
